OUR ORIGIN: DORTMUND

Dortmund – once known as the beer capital of Germany – is a city shaped by its rich industrial heritage and brewing tradition. With deep roots in steel, coal, and hops, it has transformed into a modern hub of culture and innovation while proudly preserving its legacy. It’s here, in the heart of this iconic brewing city, that our beer is born – a product of both tradition and progress.

Morning

1. Breakfast with a Dortmund Beer

Start your day at the Green Salon at Nordmarkt, the heart of the northern city center: “Breakfast with Mett” – Dortmund-style salt rolls with minced pork, followed by a walk over to the brewery.

2. Brewery Museum Visit and Tour
Visit the Brewery Museum – Experience Dortmund’s rich brewing history – a guided tour is available and highly recommended for those who want to dive deeper into the city’s legendary beer culture. From traditional brewing methods to fascinating stories of local breweries, this tour offers an authentic taste of Dortmund’s heritage.

A large copper brewing vat dominates the room, equipped with valves and a polished surface.

3. Stroll through the City Center
After the brewery tour, I’d take a walk through Dortmund’s city center, admire the architecture and discover a wonderful mix of historic and modern buildings and local bars. Along the way, I might stop by a traditional beer pub to try another local beer. Highly recommended: “Zum Sauren” – THE DAB pub in the city center. Located right on Hansaplatz, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy the lively atmosphere over a DAB beer. They also serve the local specialty “Pfefferpotthast.”

Evening

6. Dinner at a Traditional Tavern
Dinner at Pfefferkorn No. 1 am Markt, a well-known restaurant famous for its rustic charm and regional cuisine. I'd go for a hearty “Sauerbraten” or “Westphalian Mettwurst”, accompanied by a classic Dortmunder DAB Beer.

7. Football Atmosphere at the Stadium or a Bar
If there's a BVB match happening, attending a Bundesliga game at Signal Iduna Park would be a true highlight. If not, I’d head to a local sports bar like Westphalenschenke Dortmund, where the football spirit is alive even without live games. Watching the match on a big screen among passionate fans is an experience of its own.

8. Farewell Drink in the Old Town
To end the day, I’d relax in a beer garden or traditional pub in Dortmund’s Old Town. Places like Gänse-Markt Dortmund dre perfect for enjoying a final Dortmunder beer in a cozy atmosphere and reflecting on a day full of flavor, culture, and football.
