Ever since the very first beer we brewed, we knew that it had to be shared with others. Early on, since 1879 to be exact, our brews were already exported to The Netherlands, Belgium France, India, Japan and Australia. Today, DAB is at home in over 35 countries on every continent.
Following the introduction of the bottom-fermented brewing process in the mid-19th century, a new beer type became popular and changed the beer world forever.
This fresh, pale brew with its mildly hoppy flavour has become one of the most sought after beers at its time. That is why Dortmunder Export is considered a milestone in the development of beer culture in the world and has become synonymous for superior quality.
DAB is the finest example of the special bottom-fermented blond lager. It is a harmoniously balanced, crisp and easy-to-drink beer with pleasingly gentle notes of hops and malt.
Thanks to the soft water from Dortmund and the avoidance of longterm pasteurization, DAB has a very-well-rounded taste profile with a soft and elegant texture.
